Howl (2015)

Howl is a 2015 British horror film directed by Paul Hyett. The movie stars Ed Speleers, Sean Pertwee, Holly Weston, and several other talented actors. Set almost entirely on a train, the film offers a tense and terrifying experience, combining creature horror with survival thriller elements. It stands out for its creative setting and chilling atmosphere.

The story follows Joe, played by Ed Speleers, a ticket inspector working a late-night train shift. Along with a group of passengers, including characters played by Holly Weston and Shauna Macdonald, Joe must face an unexpected nightmare. When their train breaks down in a remote forest, the group must band together to survive the night against deadly creatures.

After a mysterious accident stops the train in the middle of nowhere, the passengers quickly realize they are not alone. Strange noises and shadows in the woods soon reveal the presence of terrifying werewolf-like creatures. As panic spreads, the passengers try to defend themselves and escape, while their trust in each other begins to break down.

Howl explores themes of fear, survival, and human nature under pressure. The film uses practical effects and dark cinematography to create a claustrophobic and suspenseful mood. The confined setting of the train adds to the intensity, making the horror feel inescapable and immediate. Paul Hyett’s direction keeps the tension high from start to finish.

In conclusion, Howl is a gripping and well-crafted horror film that offers something different from the typical monster movie. With a strong cast, effective scares, and a unique setting, it delivers both thrills and suspense. Fans of creature features and British horror will find Howl an entertaining and chilling ride.
